UiUWUA prides itself on having the safest, most productive, highest-skilled workers in the world.

We are constantly working to develop and ensure the highest degree of safety training and protocols, and to that end UWUA’s new National Safety Director, John “Scotty” McNeill, has been traveling the nation meeting with local union officers, safety directors and members.

Recently, McNeill met with UWUA Local 223 members and Safety Directors Leroy Huckleberry, Todd Burger, Steve Slater, and Jason Cousin.

In addition to his visit to the River Rouge power plant, Scotty spent time in the field with Local 223 gas crews, and was proud to report to national leadership the professionalism around all issues of safety and service
