WASHINGTON, DC (APRIL 2, 2024) – The Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA), AFL-CIO today announced its support for President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, citing the administration’s track record of pro-worker policies over the past four years for the endorsement.
“With President Biden on our side we know our members will have a say in whatever comes next,” said UWUA President James Slevin. “The Biden administration knows how to invest in policies that make the biggest impact for workers. The economy is surpassing growth expectations, we’re investing in manufacturing policies that continue to create good-paying union jobs, and the National Labor Relations Board is once again back on workers’ side.”
UWUA’s executive board recently met to discuss the candidate’s track record and voted in favor of endorsing the Biden campaign.
“On the campaign trail, President Biden said he would be the most pro-union president in history. As we’ve seen, he has delivered on that promise tenfold and has fought for our members’ best interests in many different ways. We are proud to support his campaign once again and look forward to continuing to work with him over the next four years,” added President Slevin.
