Community Guidelines
The Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) uses social media to uplift member stories, share important updates, and advance the mission of the union. We welcome respectful engagement on our platforms and ask all users to follow these community guidelines when commenting or reacting to our posts.
- No hate speech: Comments must not include language that is discriminatory or promotes violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- No abusive language: Name-calling, threats, obscenity, or profane language will not be tolerated.
- No spamming: Avoid repetitive or irrelevant posts that disrupt conversation or target other followers.
- No fundraising promotions: Posts or comments may not advertise or solicit funds for personal, local, or unofficial member fundraising efforts.
- No false or misleading news: Do not spread false or misleading information. Do not repeat or share information from sites that are not credible sources of information.
Comments, pictures and other visuals that violate these guidelines may be hidden or deleted. Individuals who repeatedly or egregiously disregard these rules will be blocked from interacting with our page.
