Human Rights Committee Chair Nate Waters gives the committee’s report at the Region IV conference in Chicago in August 2022.
The Human Rights Committee provides advocacy, training, and support to local unions on issues relating to human rights, civil rights, and all matters of discrimination in the workplace. Working together with local unions, committee members promote and develop strategies for inclusion. They assist local unions with eliminating discriminatory practices in hiring and employment and promote the establishment of a Human Rights Committee in each local union.
