WASHINGTON, DC (OCTOBER 14, 2025) – Utility Workers Union of America President James Slevin released the following statement regarding Local 433 member, Craig Romanovich’s appointment to the Union Veterans Council (UVC), AFL-CIO:
“Congratulations to Craig Romanovich on this well-deserved appointment as the Union Veterans Council’s new executive director. This is a pivotal advocacy moment for our working-class veterans who disproportionately feel the impacts of an ongoing government shutdown, cuts to healthcare services and other federal service cuts. As we’ve seen from his time spent with his local union and serving on UWUA’s Veterans Committee, Craig will be an outspoken voice for veterans on the job.”
Craig Romanovich Bio:
Romanovich brings a unique blend of union leadership, political acumen, and military experience to his role as Union Veterans Council Executive Director. He is a long-time member and former chief steward for UWUA Local 433. He also served as a member of council for his former borough, which further exemplifies his acumen in legislative action.
Romanovich is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1993 to 1998. His military career included duty stations at Ft. Benning, Georgia, a tour in Korea, and an assignment at Ft.
