UWUA Condemns Trump Administration Executive Order Targeting Federal Employees

WASHINGTON, DC (MARCH 28, 2025) – Today, Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) President James Slevin released the following statement condemning President Trump’s executive order that strips federal employees of collective bargaining and organizing rights:

“This executive order represents a threat to all working people, which we take very seriously. Silencing dedicated federal employees in essential roles undermines our national security and makes it more difficult to serve veterans, secure the border, and protect public health. Unions and the rights they provide improve federal workers’ ability to come up with solutions that best serve the American people.

“We stand in solidarity with our union brothers and sisters who are impacted by this disastrous executive order. We will not back down. We stand ready to fight against this unconstitutional overreach of executive authority.”
