The UWUA recently entered into a new agreement with VSI Services, which will cover all its contracted work for PECO Energy's Advanced Metering Initiative Project in the State of Pennsylvania. This agreement demonstrates an innovative approach to organizing.  By working with this contractor, the UWUA will put 75-100 of our members in what has been predominantly a non-union facility over the next four years.  This agreement covers the field removal, installation, and testing of advanced electric and gas utility meters at PECO Energy's customer locations and will include Meter Service Technicians, Electric Meter Service Technicians, Poly Phase Meter Technicians, Gas Meter Retrofit Technicians, Gas Meter Technicians and Transformer Rated Meter Technicians.
