LM-30 NOTICE & ALERT
All Private Sector* Union Officers and non-clerical employees must file an LM-30 if they or their family members have any substantial gifts or gratuities from an employer or vendor, aggregating to more than $250, from each employer or vendor in the individuals tax year. The LM-30 is The individuals legal responsibility and not the responsibility of the Local Union. Any non-compliance is considered a violation of Federal Law and can be prosecuted as a felony. The LM-30 is normally due within 90 days of the individuals IRS tax year end (extended to May 15 for Dec 31, 2005 tax year end filers). You can also ask your employer if they are reporting any gifts or gratuities on their corresponding LM-10 filing, if they have anything to report.
