The recently created UWUA Young Workers Committee introduced itself to the rest of the union at a special session of the June Convention. The purpose of the group, comprised of 15 members representing each region and chaired by National Representative Reggie Davis, is to both establish and maintain a youth involvement initiative within the union. NLRB Issues Complaints Against United Water
Management’s Conduct Illegal During Contract Negotiations
The National Labor Relations Board has issued complaints against United Water concerning illegal management conduct during negotiations with UWUA local unions in three states. Meanwhile, the UWUA is also stepping up a global campaign to combat the French-owned company’s attempts to slash workers’ retirement benefits. Read More
