When voters gave Republicans complete control of 21 state governments in the mid-term elections, little did they know that they themselves would be in the crosshairs of the new crop of legislators.

As if working people were responsible for the economic ruination of the nation, Republicans have unleashed a wave of legislation to rip apart the very foundation of our democratic society, unions.

In Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Florida and other states, unions, the engine of the middle class, are under attack as right-wing politicians assault wages, seniority, health care, pensions, and even the right to organize.

Why attack unions? Because they are the only organized force that stands in the way of the complete domination of the country by the corporate backers of these politicians. Their goal, in this round, is to weaken unions in the all important electoral swing states before national elections next year. Fortunately, working people and their union are standing up and
fighting back!

UWUA members have answered the call and are mobilizing, organizing and putting their bodies on the line to turn back the Republican attack on the American way of life. From the moment Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker unveiled his plans to strip workers of collective bargaining rights, UWUA members hit the streets in protest.

Thousands have joined union actions in more than a dozen states. In each and every protest, the message is clear:
